Initially, the desire was to produce quality architectural components for the restoration of historic buildings in Shropshire, the Welsh Marches, Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire and the Midlands.

“McMillan Masonry have recently worked under our direction at St Laurence’s Church ....McMillan Masonry showed considerable skill in replacing the missing components in a most consistent manner. We found them approachable, enthusiastic about their work and committed to achieving a great result. ”

Since then the scope of work has expanded significantly, not only in geographical terms but also to cover all broader aspects of stone masonry.

"McMillan Masonry were highly professional from enquiry to completion of the renovation of external masonry on our Grade II listed Victorian Church building. The results are stunning - everything was completed to the highest standard by master craftsmen who were helpful and co-operative. We are delighted and would highly recommend.”

A large part of our success is due to the exceptional team around us. We are in regular contact with the colleges looking for new talent and investing in this team and in our manufacturing capability.

"We wanted a hand carved headstone for our parents and had a very personal and intricate design drawn out but had no idea where to find someone with the skill and expertise to carry it out. Luckily we found the McMillan brothers at McMillan Masonry and we knew as soon as we met them that they were the right firm for us. Our first meeting with them was carried out at a temporary workshop in a medieval farm building in a sunlit Shropshire meadow... We were hooked! Over the following months Ben McMillan guided us through the whole process... The whole experience was very enjoyable and satisfying for us. We were included in the process throughout and the whole team were very friendly, amenable and professional with an obvious love and enthusiasm for their work."
